剧情简介
Teens have been the leaders of far-reaching, rebellious movements for all of history. From Joan of Arc to the Vietnam protests, young adults have gritted their teeth and loudly demanded that change needs to happen immediately. In recent years, teens have begun advocating for institutional change regarding the climate crisis. In particular, a group of teens in New Zealand, following in the inspirational footsteps of Greta Thunberg, confront their leaders in hopes of crafting a better future for themselves and their children. Despite their genuine care, the group is met with resistance due to their bouts of inequality. When a young indigenous women from South Auckland points out their failure to include indigenous people in their movement-particularly, their inability to highlight that the indigenous community suffers more harshly from the effects of climate change, and receive harsher punishment and intimidation from the state for advocating for it-she sparks the attention of the white-led movement. HIDE TIDE, DON’T HIDE is an intrepid portrait of varying communities, attempting to save the world and change the movement from within.
